I spotted these images here, and I love how photographer Dianne Personett has captured this couple who decided to have a ‘first look’ but without actually seeing eachother. They had just a door between them as they exchanged private love letters to each other on the morning of their wedding. I just love how you can see the emotion, the relief and the anticipation of the day ahead in their faces (well mainly the brides, the groom looks a touch confused!), and must be so sweet for them to look back on now. A very sweet romantic touch, especially for those a little nervous of walking down the aisle but those perhaps a touch too superstitious to see their bride or groom before their wedding.

Are any of you considering a ‘first look’ or almost ‘first look’ to have that special calm before the storm moment together, or would you want to wait and savour the moment walking down the aisle? All my couples who have done a first look have said that it was one of their highlights of their day and I have to say they also make sense for a busy schedule and also especially in winter when the light fades quite early on. What do you think?

I wanted a first look but as we are getting married so early there isn’t time :( I’m not superstitious at all and I know I’m going to feel really nervous, maybe I’ll do a first “FaceTime” !
Oh that’s a shame you can’t fit it in, and once the adrenalin and the excitement of the day hits, I’m sure the nerves will subside! Although I would love to see a first ‘Facetime’ hahaha!
Oh how sweet are these?! They capture the emotion so perfection, a beautiful little moment in time :)
xXx
Such a good idea and you can really feel the tension / love between them
I love these pics but would hate to have been crying just moments before walking down the aisle……
That’s what waterproof mascara is for ;)
what a gorgeous happy moment captured!!!!
Yes Charley – Brett and I can’t WAIT for ours. What began as a time saver is now one more exciting thing to look forward to!
xo
So exciting Katie! I can’t wait to see yours with Joanna, and I’m sure it will be a wonderful moment x
Wow! What a moment – how to capture it! I have never seen anything so lovely! great idea
Amazing, what a sweet thing to do.
Very very cute indeed xx
Found these photos on Pinterest and thought they were so cute. I think it’s hysterical that the bride has run the gamete of emotions while the groom has the same, slightly confused, concentrating very hard expression the whole time!
