ABOUT CHARLEY…

With an early career in production for film, TV and design, Charley Beard has always worked in creative industries, managing and co-ordinating complex projects. After graduating she moved to London [indeed, she's not actually from London, but Oxford!] to work in TV and film in Shoreditch back in the days before it was even hip and from day one has enjoyed living the London life [except from public transport, she hates that bit]. Her passion with weddings started from the age of 7 when she discovered pretty dresses and since launching award winning UK wedding blog London Bride in 2009, she has developed her successful career as a creative wedding planner, creating and designing beautiful, stylish and personal weddings in and around London. Living in East London, when not attached to some form of technology she can never say no to a cocktail, likes mooching at the flower market on Columbia Road, soaking up a good film in an independent screen, brunching in Hoxton and generally shopping for anything stripey.

ABOUT THE BLOG…

Whilst entering into the industry as a wedding planner, Charley was uninspired by the generic, mass market wedding world back in 2008 and whilst working at a design agency, surrounded by creativity she launched London Bride in 2009 as a blog for stylish and inspirational wedding ideas. The blog is now one of the most renowned and popular UK wedding blogs and recently received “Highly Commended – Best Wedding Blog” as voted for in the Perfect Wedding Awards 2012. Charley has been a regular contributor and has had work featured in many bridal publications such as You and Your Wedding, Wedding, Brides and Perfect Wedding. She has also had work including weddings and styled shoots featured on top US blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Ruffled and Wedding Chicks.

London Bride today is an inspirational blog for the modern stylish bride and a great resource for those having a London city wedding. The blog regularly features fabulous real weddings, creative ideas, unique suppliers and stylish inspiration and is written with the unique perspective of someone working within the wedding industry which provides honest and aspiring content.

As a creative wedding and event planner, Charley’s aim is to create bespoke weddings full of beauty, personality and style – always with the couple’s interest at heart. With a passion for weddings and style teamed with her creative eye and co-ordination she is popular with couples looking for assistance in creating a unique and personal day. Charley has worked on a variety of briefs, covering styles from festival fun, informal pub celebrations, chic city events to unusual and urban parties!

Charley also works as a stylist and consultant within the wedding industry and to stylish contemporary lifestyle brands.
