For those who perhaps weren’t engaged this time last year (if that’s you why hello, congratulations!) then you may well be in the I’m-So-Overwhelmed stage of your wedding flitting from pin-to-pin and blog-to-blog without actually making a start to the planning. If that’s the case then a wedding show is the perfect place to kick start the planning and the biggest date for your diary should be the upcoming Brides The Show taking place on the weekend of 2nd – 4th October in London.

Of course the show isn’t just for those at the beginning of their planning journey, it’s a great way (not to mention fun, hello fizz and cake!) to soak up lots of inspiration, see the latest ideas and work from talented wedding industry folk and pick up some expert tips along the way. The big highlight for me is always the Catwalk and seeing the latest bridal fashion from the amazing designers that will be exhibiting.
Editor of Brides Jade Beer says:
“The event is the culmination of an entire year’s work by the magazine team – the very people who style our fashion and reception shoots, who create our beauty pages and who edit our honeymoon guide. From the finer details to those day-changing major decisions. You’ll also be surrounded by more than 130 of the very best wedding suppliers this country has to offer – from stationers to bridesmaid designers and photographers; nothing has been left out. This will easily be the best show yet!”
Amongst the shows talented suppliers will be inspiration from stationery to cakes, DJ’s to venues, flowers to shoes (surely that’s worth it alone!) plus you can expect some fun additional experiences such as a pop up blow dry bar which you can pre-book for all your hair styling needs by Duck & Dry , The Brides Bar in association with Nyetimber for that essential glass of celebratory fizz and Bobbi Brown Bridal Beauty Studio will be doing some make-up masterclasses for you to pick up some beauty tips.
