If like me, you treasure the sentimental things in life then as a bride the garter is one of those little things. It’s pretty, delicate and risqué but what I love most is the idea that you can be the one handing down such a sweet and treasured little item to the next generation in your family for their own wedding day. We all fondly imagine that moment when we get handed the ‘something old’ to us on our big day, so this is the perfect keepsake after the wedding [which doesn't need dry cleaning or storing in a huge box in the loft!].
If you are a lover of luxurious beautiful things Ell and Cee offer the the most stylish underwear and loungewear for brides for that little something special and now as part of their accessories range they have the prettiest collection of garters available, ranging from £32-55.
However, for two weeks all London Bride readers can receive an exclusive 15% discount on garters so why not treat yourself to one of these little treasures… simply head on over to their website www.ellandceebride.co.uk and use the discount code LB15 at the checkout before purchasing.
My personal favourite is the Deco Garter – the Grace Kelly of all garters with it’s simple stylish design and the sparkle of course! But if you are looking for the ‘something blue’ then the Alice Blue Garter is the perfect choice.
Although the history of the garter is that it would be tossed by the groom to unmarried guests, you wouldn’t want to do that with one of these beauties. Oh no… that’s why you toss your boquet instead, girls – this ones a keeper.
*exclusive offer will end on Thursday 29th November – hurry over to www.ellandceebride.co.uk
As you may already be well aware, as well as this here blog I am a wedding planner and stylist – which means that, well – I have my fingers in many pies! I therefore absolutely love it when I get to combine my skills and passions, so when the adorable and hardworking husband and wife duo Hayley and Lucas from Alphabet Bags got in touch about the opportunity of co-ordinating and styling their photo shoots for their collections and new website – the answer was of course a big YES!
The Wedding Collection / Alphabet Bags
I just wanted to share with you some of the images from these shoots [there were quite a few, turns out working with the alphabet means there's lots of products!] to not only showcase the styling work I do, but also their gorgeous products and the stunning photography from the fabulous Fanni Williams, who you may also know as the creative director behind our joint venture, Dashing Magazine.
I was already a fan of the Alphabet Bag products [naturally I had the ampersand bag, but will fully admit this collection has now grown ten-fold!] and even more so as they launched the fantastic wedding tote collection and more recently the cute purses and amazing collaboration with artist Rob Ryan. See, these chaps are unstoppable aren’t they!
