Posted by & filed under Accessories, Aisle Style, Design & Inspiration.

It can be a teeny bit overwhelming when you visit a bridal show when your excitement is let loose, let alone one as bursting with inspiration as Brides The Show, so I’ve selected my ‘Top 10′ must visit exhibitors that are loved by London Bride and hopefully you will too..

Don’t forget you can receive 2for1 on entry tickets for the show so why not bring a friend, mum or even drag the other half along for free on 3rd – 5th October in Islington, just use the code BLOGLB at the checkout, and ta-da!

Halfpenny London

I’ve been lucky enough to have a few of my brides choose an exquisite Halfpenny London design for their wedding day, along with visiting the beautiful boutique in person – the British made designs are truly stunning and perfect for the stylish fashion conscious bride with their romantic fabrics and feminine silhouettes.

Alex Monroe Wedding Jewellery – Beautiful Unique British Designs

Alex Monroe Custom Studio

Whilst a lot of our blogger days are spent behind a desk, typing away, emailing non stop, one hundred tabs open on our browser whilst tweeting and pinning, some days believe it or not, we do get away from our desks and get to experience something super fun. Well my trip last week to view the ‘Tie the Knot’ collection at  the Alex Monroe jewellery boutique in London’s very hot right now, Bermondsey was one of those days. The boutique was showcasing all their incredibly unique wedding and engagement designs in their fine jewellery collection and boy did I have a serious case of the Magpies.

I’ve followed Alex Monroe’s designs for a long time now [and a few of the items are always on my 'wish list] and I’m sure you all know THE bumble bee necklace, but there is so much more to his designs and indeed this little beautiful boutique is the perfect proof of that. I deny anyone to leave this store without one of their little sage green boxes. The London based designer has been designing and making jewellery for over 25 years and is strongly inspired by nature and British eccentricity, which provides a whimsical charm to each piece.

Whether you’re a guy about to get on bended knee [kudos you for reading the blog if so] or a lady looking for inspiration or gifts for your own wedding then I cannot recommend a trip to this boutique enough. The team there are so welcoming and friendly and whilst the merchandising of the items is undeniably beautiful, they all know about the craft too so you can be sure they know their stuff and will advise you all the way, from the metals, to the shapes, sizes and of course the diamonds or stones, especially if you’re looking for something bespoke.

At the boutique, there is a  bespoke design studio where you meet with one of the designers to talk through your ideas whether it’s for an engagement ring, or a custom Alex Monroe wedding band to perhaps suit your existing ring. The unique nature of the designs with your input make them so personal and it’s so nice to see where they are made, it all adds to the charm!

I fell in love with the utterly cool but girly Clustered Baby Wild Rose Fine Twist Ring [tried very hard to see if anyone would notice if I left with it, but don't worry, I was good], come on, just look at it! A close second was the Fine Bark Diamond Ring with Vine Detail which is the perfect mix of classic with a twist.

They have a great range of delicate stacking rings, which I really like the idea of for adding to as life events occur, first comes anniversary, engagement, wedding, eternity, you then create your own unique stack which is not only pretty but a lovely reminder of events too, whilst being an affordable way to build your jewellery collection.

Let’s of course not be selfish here, there are other people to think about for jewels, your leading ladies perhaps or a gift for the soon to be Mr? Adorable trinket cufflinks and delicate bracelets, necklaces and earrings would all be very gratefully received I’m sure.

I could talk about jewels all day, but all I have to say is, if you are in the lovely pocket of London, you must pop in. But be warned, you may not come out empty handed.
