Amy and Matt had a colourful modern Kings Cross wedding with a ceremony in St Pancras station followed by an informal and urban reception.
This week feels like all my wedding enquiries seem to be for September. It’s no wonder it’s a popular month, the summer is over, life is back to normal, kids are at school and well, the weather seems to be mostly quite lovely.
This wedding took place in September last year and certainly wasn’t short of blue skies. The addition of the colourful flowers, those turquoise blue shoes worked with the couple who’s beaming smiles are almost as bright as both.
When I first moved to London I’d never have imagined Kings Cross to be a destination for a wedding, but how wrong I was. I just love St Pancras and this whole area and couldn’t imagine a place with more of a buzz to say I do.
Amy and Matthew were childhood friends, and were married after being together for five years and engaged for one.
They had a great mix of styles for their wedding venues. The modern and beautiful Searcy’s St Pancras Grand in the station ‘as it seemed to put everything in perspective and for it’s bustling atmosphere’. They then held a relaxed reception at the J&A cafe.
The day was kept very casual, with bright colours as accents from the flowers as the couple’s priority was for everyone to just have fun and be comfortable!
Amy was lucky enough to have some friends and family contribute to the day with the flowers being put together by her sister and the stationery by her friend Louise. Another friend handily has a vegan bakery, Yay Cakes and produced a delicious vegan cake for the couple and guests to enjoy!
They hit the dancefloor with a friend DJ’ing and their faces in those last few frames says it all. I think fun was well and truly had by all.
Thank you to Amy and Matt and to Lemonade Pictures for sharing this gorgeous Kings Cross wedding.
