I imagine that many of you planning your wedding right now would put both hands in the air if I asked if you’ve been on Etsy to find something for your big day. Am I right? It’s the first place to go to if you need home-made, hand-crafted, unique and personal details, decorations or designs to incorporate into your wedding.
A CRAFTY RESOURCE
It’s really quite amazing what you can source through Etsy, and for that reason it’s a resource I use (for wedding clients, styling and personal!) all the time. So I’m very excited to share details of the upcoming Etsy Wedding Fair this Spring, as it’s somewhere you’ll be able to be inspired in person, to meet the crafters, and to see the products in real-life, along with lots of other fun treats!
London Bride has a ticket giveaway for 10 pairs of tickets to the event, so make sure you see the details at the end of the post to be in with a chance of winning!
The Etsy Wedding Fair will showcase the best selection of top wedding sellers from around the UK (yay for home-grown talent!) from wedding dresses, accessories through to cake toppers stationery and confetti.
The beauty of Etsy is that with it’s wealth of sellers, there’s bound to be things out there to suit your wedding day style. Whether you’re going for glitter and glamour, modern chic or boho and beautiful, there’s bound to be something that will pique your interest. At the fair you’ll be able to chat to the sellers directly and talk about custom orders or personalised items rather than messaging online.
Of course there’ll be lots of other treats, you’ll be able to pick up ready-made pieces on the day (so make sure you come prepared!) plus they will be holding a variety of wedding-based workshops for you to get creative with, such as how to make your own fresh flower headpiece!
The make-your-own floral headpiece workshop will run throughout the day, and is 45 minutes per class, with all materials included. You can book here (£5 per session, plus you will need to have an event ticket to attend – see below for details and how to book!).
Here are some of the amazing sellers that will be showcasing their work, so if you’ve been eyeing any of these up then you’ll definitely want to pop along to see them in person!
We Are Arrow / Comeuppance / Hello Pops of Colour / Wolf and Ink / Debbie Carlisle / Mustard and Peaches / Miss Sarah Cake / Curiousme Design / Hetty Rose / Gilly Gray / Gibson Bespoke / This Modern Love / The Lovely Drawer / Linden Flowers / Ivy Nixon Jewellery / Kate Temple / Sepia Smiles
There will also be a few special guests to treat you, Emily Kent, owner of The Wedding Hair Company will be available to style your hair and talk through options you may want for your big day. Music by DJ supremos and London Bride favourite, the Wedding Smashers pretty flowers by incredible Etsy seller Harriet Parry and of course another London Bride favourite drinks and cheeky cocktails (come on you are celebrating after all!) brought to you by the Travelling Gin Company.
