Goodbye (for now)

It feels a little strange to be back on here, as I’m sure you will have noticed that the blog hasn’t been updated for a little while and whilst this break was unintentional due to workload (and getting married) last year, it has (for now) turned into a more permanent break so wanted to let you all know and apologise for not doing so sooner. It’s a little bittersweet as this month would mark my 9th year of ‘London Bride’ and blogging.  Wow, 9 years!

Whether you may have just discovered the blog, or have been a follower for a while, thank you for finding it and for all the support over the last 9 years. I’ve truly loved sharing all the beautiful real weddings (thank you to all the couples who’ve let me do so!) and showcasing the work of the wonderful and inspiring talented wedding industry colleagues and generally just having a space to share my thoughts on all things weddings on London Bride. It’s safe to say it’s been a huge part of my life, well in fact it’s pretty much been my life for nearly a decade.

So much has changed since 2009 with both the wedding industry and of course blogs and social media and so I’m taking a little time away for both professional and personal reasons. As well as writing and talking about weddings for the 9 years with the blog and social media, I’ve solely produced more than 120 weddings (if you fancy a peek you can see a small selection in my portfolio here!) for some lovely couples, some of which I am proud to say have become friends. I’ve also been lucky enough to have met and worked and with some fantastic and inspiring people in the industry whom I shall always be grateful to and I also finally got married myself (twice, in fact…to the same man I should say) so it’s fair to say that London Bride has been life-changing.

For now, I’m looking forward to new opportunities, exploring new industries, starting new chapters and seeing what adventures await. There are a few things bubbling away but in the meantime, you can still follow me over on Instagram (though should note there may be a little less wedding related content on there!).

So, I guess it’s bye for now, I’ll keep you posted… and thank you, thank you thank you.

Charley  (AKA London Bride)
