I do love a wedding in two parts. There’s something so urban and romantic about rocking up for the ‘legal’ ceremony to get married at a town hall [especially in London!] with just a few witnesses and then continuing the celebrations with a big party to follow. I love the city style of a short dress, statement headpiece [and what a beauty it is] a simple bunch of flowers and a sprinkle of confetti on the steps!
Well, Julie and James did just that, and this lucky pair, living in one of my favourite parts of London, decided on having a little pre-wedding shoot in Hampstead with awesome photographer Lisa of Devlin Photos. They also couldn’t resist bringing along their rather adorable dog Harvey who is one of the best posers I’ve seen in a while…isn’t he?
After wandering the pretty leafy village like streets of Hampstead via a local fun fair, they hopped in a blue [yes blue!] London taxi to Marylebone Town Hall where they had their legal ceremony. I just adore the inclusion of the fabulous ‘Just Married’ Alphabet Bag, too cute!
I think Julie and James made great use of the afternoon for some lovely informal and fun portraits with Lisa near their home, before part 2 of their wedding celebrations…

Huge congratulations to Julie and James and big thanks to lovely Lisa Devlin for sharing this feature.
I was lucky enough to work with the fab Lisa Devlin on the ‘bloggers photoshoot’ last year which you can check out and you may have noticed the fab Alphabet Bags before on this blog as I have been working with these guys on styling for their website and lookbooks.
