Things seem to be getting a tad on the busy front again with me, lots of planning going on behind the scenes for summer brides, and I co-ordinated a lovely wedding this weekend [hurrah it stayed dry!] so perhaps a moment to breathe just now….
A few weekends ago I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours consulting at the new wedding show for the modern bride, the London Wedding Emporium [aka LWE] at the Old Truman Brewery off Brick Lane. I was slightly dubious about exhibiting at a show, however I thought the two hour ‘consultation’ slot was much more suited to me and being an East End girl, I’d have been crazy not to be a part of the show.
There were so many talented suppliers exhibiting all weekend, some new some well established but all with the aim to appeal to the modern, creative bride. I’m a bad blogger as I simply didn’t have time to wonder around too much or take any other photos as I was in a rush afterwards so apologies! Head to their website for more info on who was exhibiting!
So here’s my little stand, I know it was only 2 hours but if your a stylist then you it’s a chance to have some fun isn’t it? And do you spot that…..?! Yes! I have NEW branding. Well to be exact so far I have a new logo, which was hand drawn by Erin of Berinmade – a super talented and lovely designer and I’m SO pleased with it. I wanted something stylish, timeless but playful that would embrace my style with the blog and my planning services and Erin certainly captured all of this and it’s great to support the talent and work with a wedding industry colleague!
In the lead up to the fair I had a small panic as I realised I had run out of business cards so I thought why not use my new logo which I’d been sitting on for months! Who cares if my website isn’t anywhere near finished just yet…ahem [very much work in progress]. So I designed some rather luxurious neon printed letterpress business cards which certainly brightened up my corner of the warehouse space! Along with my wall of fame of beautiful images from my weddings and shoots a few touches of gold, a chevron rug, a beauty of a bon bon balloon and ta-da – it was London Bride-ified.
I met and chatted to some really lovely couples, readers [hello!] and brides at the show, giving them a bit of advice or talking them through my services, along with a few friendly industry faces popping up so it was a great event to be a part of and congratulations to the brains behind it, Caro and Kat for bringing it all together!
