Kathryn designed her beautiful 1930’s style sequin dress and had it made in Singapore by Ada at Martini-G. The cute bridesmaids outfits were also made by the dressmaker and were inspired by a Monsoon design that Kathryn spotted in an old magazine! These dresses are great and I love theat they’ve teamed them with accessories like the fan and the beads (and the very high heels!) The girls’ make-up was done by friend, Ashleigh Richards (contact at email@example.com) and the beautiful jewellery was handmade by jeweller Melanie Adam.
I always walk past the Peyton and Byrne shop on Tottenham Court Road and as well as admiring the lovely interior and tiles, their cakes and goodies are totally divine and packaged in such an adorable way. So when I heard that they also have a catering company I had to look into it. Petyon Events caters for some of London’s most beautiful venues, such as the ICA, British Library and The National Gallery so clearly, they offer an exceptional service. Their Create and Manage service allows them to assist and advise you on food (of course), flowers, cocktails, wedding cake and even photographers as well as attending on the day to ensure the smooth running. Well, if there food is presented that well, chances are your wedding will be to.
Meet Kathryn and Andrew Jacobs. A handsome Aussie couple who moved from the UK recently to live and work in Singapore but decided to hold their wedding in their homeland, in Perth, Australia. How lucky for Andrew that the photographer Josh Alach is a friend of his, as these shots are amongst some of the most stunning and creative I’ve seen and actually scored a comment from my boyfriend who said it really made him wanted to get married!
Kathryn opted for a 1930’s art deco theme for the wedding, so had the shots lightly stylized to give it that vintage look and feel. They married at the incredible St Andrew’s Subiaco church (check out the stained glass windows!) and were then whisked in a stretched Rolls Royce to their reception venue on Cottesloe Beach, Indiana’s.
A gorgeous and happy wedding all-round, and goes to show how fun having your photos taken can be, and I guarantee that Kathryn and Andrew will have THAT shot of them on the beach with the sun behind them on their wall (hell, even I’m tempted to!)
A huge congratulations to my sister Holly who got engaged to her boyfriend Chris last week. It was a very romantic and thoughtful proposal up the Edinburgh castle with Champagne, so well done Chris! I’m very happy for you both and even happier that i’ll be helping with the planning, I’ve already started…! (ps the photo is of her as a bridesmaid otherwise that would have been the speediest wedding ever!)
If you have the ‘magpie’ about you, where anything sparkly catches your eye, then you’ll love this bow hair comb, set with brilliant cut Swarovski Crystals. This gorgeous piece of hair jewellery from Basia Zarzycka has a really lovely vintage look about it and definitely one for the girliest of girls.
