Brides The Show is one of the best wedding shows there is and it’s the perfect chance whether you have just started your wedding planning or you need a bit of motivation mid-way through to have fun and be inspired. Having personally visited the shows the past few years, it’s a really inspiring event and of course a great chance to connect with suppliers, hear from experts and pick up lots of ideas for your own wedding. It’s one of those occasions to just truly enjoy being a bride and it’s definitely one to attend with either your fiancee, bridesmaids, mum or sister to make a day of it – indulge away I say!
Tash & Richard had a beautiful yet rainy July Hackney Round Chapel wedding. Boys in bow-ties, two ceremonies, mis-matched bridesmaids, frozen cocktails and a Jewish Hora dance, we loved co-ordinating this wonderful perfectly imperfect London wedding!
It’s been a little over a year since the lovely Tash and Richard’s wedding that we co-ordinated and I’m so pleased to finally be sharing their fabulous day!
It was July and whilst you’d think that would mean beautiful hazy sunshine, it in fact meant torrential downpours, all day long. And I mean all day. It’s one of the wettest weddings I’ve co-ordinated, ironic really given it was a summer wedding but it absolutely didn’t dampen the day one bit, and I remember how much it actually made everyone laugh and smile because of the ridiculous-ness of it all! I love the image above by their photographer, Emma Case as it just shows, you can’t plan for the weather so you just have to smile and roll with it, just like these two and their guests did.
It really was a beautiful day despite the rain, with pretty mis-matching maids in creams and blush, boys in bow-ties, flowers made by the Groom’s mother, treats of cheese and ice-cream, frozen slush cocktails and two ceremonies, plus a rather epic Hora (Jewish circle dance) that I’ve witnessed at a wedding (not going to lie, the planner in me was concerned about anyone getting hurt but pleased to report everyone was of course fine!).
I’ve loved featuring the write-up from the bride Tash, I know many of you enjoy simply browsing through the images, but if you can, do take a few moments to read their lovely story of their day – as the bride Tash had herself said, “I found it really comforting and touching to read entries about weddings that carried a sense of reality and not everything being totally perfect. There can be so much pressure to get everything ‘right’ and for all the decisions to come naturally and hassle-free.” A wise and wonderful bride… over to you Tash and Richard.
It seems us lot just can’t get enough of fresh flowers, not just for special occasions but to spread a bit of joy at home or to friends. I used to be utterly spoilt with local florists near my last home but since moving there are none in my area (well, none that offer flowers other than gerberas, rainbow roses and carnations) and I’m feeling a little flower bereft!
However I’ve stumbled upon some lovely services that offer unique and boutique flowery delivery in London (and some throughout UK) that will enable me to get my floral fix straight to my door! I’m very excited to try some of these out, and thought I’d share my top 5 findings! Also if any friends should wish to send me some flowers… here’s a little hint ;)

If you are more on the green fingered side, or know someone who is, then this is one for you! The Geo-Fleur Plant Post Club Subscription sends you a monthly delivery (£24 a month for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months) of a surprise exclusive package of plants or plant related accessories to keep your home green! My obsession with plants, succulents and cacti isn’t going anywhere so this is such a fun way to enhance my collection and who doesn’t love a surprise package in the post? Perfect for a plant-loving friend as a present too.

I’ve been following and admiring London based couture bridal designer Hermione de Paula for a little while now (their Instagram is insanely beautiful) and quite frankly the designs blow me away.
