If you’re a fan of food, florals and boho style, then the Hackney wedding of Khaly and Martin ticks all those boxes and some. A beautiful boho bride, floral bridesmaids, afternoon tea and a dessert table that Mary Berry would be proud of.
I think it goes without saying that Khaly’s bridal style is effortless, boho elegance at it’s finest. The original vintage 70s off the shoulder layered lace gown is relaxed but feminine and with her dark flowing locks, soft metallic eyes and that incredible headpiece by Joanna Reed she looks every inch the perfect boho bride with her dashing groom in blue. Not to mention her girls looking fair maids in their floor length dark floral dresses (from Marks and Spencer’s would you believe, just goes to show keep your mind open!),
The super cool boho chic backdrop of photographic location The Roost in Hackney was not only a local venue for them, but one that complimented this couple’s style perfectly. Ending the night with a DJ dance party in the basement and a pizza van is a pretty good way to see the evening out I say.
Also worth noting to anyone thinking about speeches, and how you imagine they’ll be a few minutes each at the most, as these guys prove, they can go on for over an hour so you might want to keep that in mind! Sounds like they were worth every minute.

A lovely story of fate bringing back childhood sweethearts Soula and Will together for their vintage 1920s inspired Hackney Town Hall and Tab Centre London wedding.
The story behind today’s lovely couple Will and Soula is certainly one to melt the hearts! They were childhood sweethearts in London when they were just 12 years old, though 20 years passed as she moved away but then then they just so happened to be brought back together when they discovered they were living just across the street to each other. Just over a year later and they were engaged to be married. Don’t you just love it how fate has a way sometimes…

For those looking to add unique details and handcrafted items to their wedding, the Etsy Wedding Fair on May 16th – 17th in London is not to be missed!
I imagine that many of you planning your wedding right now would put both hands in the air if I asked if you’ve been on Etsy to find something for your big day. Am I right? It’s the first place to go to if you need home-made, hand-crafted, unique and personal details, decorations or designs to incorporate into your wedding.
A CRAFTY RESOURCE
It’s really quite amazing what you can source through Etsy, and for that reason it’s a resource I use (for wedding clients, styling and personal!) all the time. So I’m very excited to share details of the upcoming The Etsy Wedding Fair this Spring, as it’s somewhere you’ll be able to be inspired in person, to meet the crafters, and to see the products in real-life, along with lots of other fun treats!
London Bride has a ticket giveaway for 10 pairs of tickets to the event, so make sure you see the details at the end of the post to be in with a chance of winning!

I know it must seem us bloggers get paid commission to bang on about Etsy but we can’t help it (and no, we don’t in case you are wondering). It just really is such a brilliant resource, I often use it to find unique items, hand made or crafted gifts and fun treasures and it’s so nice to know you are supporting individuals, small business and crafters around the world too. It’s especially useful for brides planning their wedding – where you can trawl through millions of items in search for creative decor, invitations, accessories, clothing or gifts and now… it’s just got a whole lot better!
Not only does it have a dedicated wedding site (whoop!) making it easier to search, it also features stories & advice, wedding ‘how to’s’ and the latest trends and now you are able to create your very own Etsy Gift Registry for your big day – which of course I started out, purely in the name of research you understand (uh-oh!).
There are only a limited amount of options for gift lists these days, so if you are looking for really lovely handmade items, or one off pieces then this should be where you need to sign up – so many great things for the home! You can always offer this in conjunction with a honeymoon list or similar.
Just worth pointing out that (as seems the story of my life) – a lot of what I like comes from the states, which although is easy enough to be delivered, you do often get stung with customs duty (grrr) so top tip is to search using the toolbar on to ‘shop local’ and enter your country or town which enables you to support your local Etsy businesses and not get charged additional customs duty.
