A new (hopefully!) feature series on what London Bride Loves; a roundup of life in weddings, London and lifestyle.
In my position as a blogger, Londoner, wedding industry member and general sucker for nice things it’s actually impossible for me to keep you updated with everything I see, like, hear about and do. So, in honour of at least attempting to share things, I’ll be featuring what London Brides Loves across weddings, London and lifestyle as a round-up post with little snippets instead!
I’d like to try and do these every other week, but let’s see how we go (don’t want to make promises, I have a very busy wedding season coming up!!) but the good news is here is the first!

After much blood sweat and tears (lots), the big reveal is finally here!
It’s here, the all new London Bride blog. I feel like I’ve been talking about this for years and then I realise…. Oh. I actually have. The re-brand started way back in September 2012, three whole years ago when I knew I wanted to change the design of the blog and fell for the charms of Erin Hung, a talented hand lettering artist and owner of BerinMade. Erin’s style was the perfect fit for the London Bride brand with it’s stylish, modern and fun feel, so she was commissioned to hand-letter the logo you see before you, it’s been hard hiding it away for 3 years (unless you’ve been a lucky recipient of a LB business card in which case you’ll have seen it some time ago!) so I’m very happy to let it finally shine.
And then…well, I got busy.

Argh! Seems summer may have been and gone in one swift week last week as we are back to the damp and grey. It also feels like July has flown by, perhaps because it’s been a fairly busy one for me [and because I’ve been sucked into the fantastic Team GB at the Olympics [and the mind blowing opening ceremony].
Anyway, here’s a little look at what I’ve been up to lately… lots of pretty in this one!
I used the prettiest pinwheels for a styled engagement shoot / spotted this divine all pink peony bouquet / LOVE neon lights / Delicious and cute heart shaped macarons for a shoot
Arranging flowers for one of my couple’s wedding – in lab flasks [they are both scientists!] / a great engagement shoot for a lovely couple using a pinwheel bouquet / I got my ‘real’ engagement ring, eeek! / My latest ‘Budding Ideas’ column is out in Wedding Magazine now!
Don’t forget you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest to keep up with all my goings on!
It’s been a crazy few months (I know I know, isn’t it always) but here are a few little snippets into London Bride life as of late.
Visiting my July couple’s lovely gastro pub venue in Camden / It’s peony season and I went a little nuts at Columbia Road (again) / Working from home, my matching hair bow and phone cover was unintentional yet cheered me up! / I managed to grab a couple of hazy hours with a friend on Hampstead Heath whilst the sun shone / This beautiful hairstyle was created by Siobhan Drew for a shoot I styled for Alphabet Bags new collection (coming soon!) / I attended a fun bash thrown by Chloé and Georgia and my new found Mac Lady Danger lipstick took me from desk to drinking!
It’s certainly been a busy couple of weeks, so I thought I’d do a little round up of London Bride life.
// I visited Rebel Rebel who had these beautiful Coral Charm peonies / Picking metallic foils for a clients wedding save the dates / I painted some geometric nails with peach and gold / Taste testing Portuguese custard tarts, Pasteis de natas for a clients wedding dessert (nom!) / I potted some colourful ranunculus for my first window box – I do hope they survive! //
I also co-ordinated a wedding for the lovely Katie and Brett on Saturday (congrats you guys!!), and she asked me to tie these cute giant love hearts she made to trees. I tied them down the street where the wedding party were walking from Islington Town Hall to the reception venue at The Albion and I had lots of comments from strangers (from grannies, a pizza delivery man and a very cute 4 year old little girl!) saying how much they made them smile so I hope the wedding party enjoyed them too! A cheap but very cheerful idea!
I hope you’ve all had lovely weekends, it certainly made a change to see some sunshine!
So whilst I’m catching up on many emails after a crazy busy weekend, I thought you may all like to see what I’ve been up to these last few days (and a chance to put my Instagram addiction to good use!).
A lifestyle shoot for the brilliant Alphabet Bags at Drink Shop & Do with Fanni Williams / Drooling over pastel toe and heeled brogues / having sparkly glittery nails / a sweet treat after a hard day’s shoot / a night off with the boy at my new favourite cinema The Aubin / being seduced by bows at American Apparel / sneaking through a secret entrance to a secret bar / admiring the incredible new Kings Cross /St Pancras Station
