Colourful Urban London Wedding in Chelsea + Kings Cross

Aisle Style, WEDDINGS, Informal, Modern, Urban

Leila and Perry chose a sweet Chelsea ceremony followed by a walk along the picturesque Albert Bridge before joining their guests for a colourful urban reception in Kings Cross. This couple injected colour and style with her floral crown and his check suit and the cheery green bridesmaids!

Leila and Perry’s wedding has been a lovely wedding to write up due to all the gorgeous colour injected, it just adds so much fun and cheer to a wedding! They even asked the guests to wear bright colours which is such a great idea.

Leila and Perry were married in September 2015, and chose to hold an intimate ceremony at The Chelsea Registry Office given they had first met on the Kings Road and also that Leila’s parents in fact married there 37 years ago which is just lovely and so meaningful.

Leila’s bridal style is modern and I love her bright floral crown which works nicely with the colourful bridesmaids dresses too. Groom Perry is seriously upping the style stakes too, what a fabulous check suit! They injected their styles and personalities into the day really well, from an epic selection of Brownie’s from Leila’s own bakery to a Lebanese belly dancer and hip hop DJ!

Although 06 St Chad’s is no longer taking wedding bookings (shame!) I do love how Jam Jar Flowers dressed the beams with hops, a great idea and way of adding decor to a tall space.

Eclectic Playful Rooftop Wedding London

WEDDINGS, Informal

Photography by Joanna Brown

An LA bride, a London rooftop, mariachi music, a groom in pink and a theatric ceremony. David and Saskia certainly put the playful and party into their day.

This was a hard wedding to write a title for. Perhaps I best not try to describe it, but let’s just say there’s a rooftop, a ton of paper flowers, faux cherry blossom trees, an actual heart shaped cake(as in from the body), mariachi music, a seriously dapper groom in powder pink and a bride in an old faithful dress.

The couple Saskia (from LA) and David added some serious tongue in cheek to their London wedding, with a playful take turning it into a super cool party.

Urban and atmospheric wedding with winter brights for couple Jess and Nick’s February celebrations at the elegant yet distressed The Asylum and MC Motors.

Urban Brights Winter Wedding by Robbins Photographic, Co-ordination by London Bride

It’s actually quite a struggle for me to put together the features on weddings that I’ve planned and been a part of, and for that reason you’ll notice they generally have a lot more images so I can only apologise in advance if this is a lengthy one!

I co-ordinated this urban brights winter wedding earlier in February and it’s taken me quite some time just to edit the images down. Partly because Lee at Robbins Phogoraphic has captured the day in such a way I almost feel like I can’t miss anything out, partly because Jess and Nick are a seriously good looking couple and partly because the day was beautiful – in style and in atmosphere. I’m sure you’ll see my struggle!

Jess and Nick managed to combine so much into their day. It was bright but stylish, informal yet romantic whilst being elegant and urban.  Not many couples choose February as a month to marry in, but with colourful wild flowers by Palais Flowers, beautifully worn venues, a cosy atmosphere and all your loved ones together it really could have been any day of the year.
