It seems us lot just can’t get enough of fresh flowers, not just for special occasions but to spread a bit of joy at home or to friends. I used to be utterly spoilt with local florists near my last home but since moving there are none in my area (well, none that offer flowers other than gerberas, rainbow roses and carnations) and I’m feeling a little flower bereft!
However I’ve stumbled upon some lovely services that offer unique and boutique flowery delivery in London (and some throughout UK) that will enable me to get my floral fix straight to my door! I’m very excited to try some of these out, and thought I’d share my top 5 findings! Also if any friends should wish to send me some flowers… here’s a little hint ;)
Beautifully curated and sent fresh from the grower, bouquets from Bloomon can be delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly and you can subscribe for as long as you like. The bouquets are carefully designed to highlight nature’s beauty and with three different sizes to choose from (£20.95 – 31.95) they are great for a treat for yourself or for a gift. They allow for you to have a play with how they are arranged but do come packaged well and with water so they last as long as possible.
If you are more on the green fingered side, or know someone who is, then this is one for you! The Geo-Fleur Plant Post Club Subscription sends you a monthly delivery (£24 a month for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months) of a surprise exclusive package of plants or plant related accessories to keep your home green! And don’t worry, it comes with a care card so you can at least attempt to keep them alive! My obsession with plants, succulents and cacti isn’t going anywhere so this is such a fun way to enhance my collection and who doesn’t love a surprise package in the post? Perfect for a plant-loving friend as a present too.
This company is perfect if you’re looking to send a beautifully unique and seasonal boutique bouquet as a gift (or perhaps just to yourself!). Floom offer a lovely selection of different seasonal bouquets that are uploaded every week so you can be sure that they are all unique, and are created by local independent florists in your area, in and around London (they are hoping to have investment I believe to broaden to rest of UK, which I think will be amazing). There are so many wonderful independent florists in London that this gives you access to a great selection and I especially love that it’s all seasonal and something for every price range too.
Now this is rather genius, flowers delivered through your letterbox! Bloom & Wild are the perfect option if you are at work all week but keen to have flowers delivered to your doorstep then these are your guys. Perfect for small arrangements of fun and fresh flowers that will be a welcome treat from your postman. They are sent as buds so will open up once you arrange them and they should keep for up to 7 days. You can subscribe to enjoy weekly, fortnightly or monthly and starts from just £15 so pretty affordable (I also like you can make the orders lily free for those with kitty cats!).
I actually was lucky enough to work with Petalon on a wedding recently, but aside from events they also offer bouquets by bicycle. For Londoners who are keen on being eco, you can receive or give a gorgeously arranged hand-tied bouquet by bicycle. I love how they have new seasonal bouquets for you to choose every week which are so beautifully arranged and starting from £28 including delivery it’s definitely a worthwhile treat (plus they donate £1 to the Capital Bee charity!).
I can’t remember the last time Mr London Bride gifted me flowers, but with the above options, looks like i’ll just be treating myself instead!
