Sometimes you meet people in the wedding industry who’s work is a breath of fresh air and who’s talent shines through. Having seen in person, the floral artistry work of Vervain at A Most Curious Wedding Fair I was just so drawn to owner India Hurst’s style and also her ethos that I wanted to share this with you on the blog.
Vervain is a flower studio specialising in creating unique floristry; orchestrated chaos. With a background in art and design and horticulture, I think India combines natural beauty with a creative eye to create unique floral styling. Designs are tailored to each couple’s style and are suited to those who appreciate how flowers can enhance their aesthetic and express their personality through the atmosphere of their wedding.
Rather than describe India’s work, you can see it in full bloom here, full of texture, colour and spirit, each almost with it’s own personality – all beautifully portrayed by photographer India Hobson.
PS – please let’s see brides wearing flowers in their hair like this. Just so so pretty!
Vervain founder, India Hurst is a florist, floral designer and grower and with a background in art and design as well as horticulture she has been inspired from her memories of growing up on a nursery with generations of family growers, being surrounded by plants and flowers from an early age.
There’s an unusual edge to India’s style, given that she is a grower she is passionate about finding unique ways to enhance her arrangements, and where possible using home-grown and British sourced flowers which really shows through her designs.
Vervain is based in the UK, in both the South West and the Midlands, and is able to travel anywhere.
